The Mizuno Wave Riders 15 were my first pair of real running shoes and I fell in love with them immediately. So supportive, but so light…
Before that, I had been running in a bunch of Nikes (don’t remember which shoe models) and a couple of Asics, Excel 33 and Cirrus 33, hated them both.
When I started running with the Riders I finally understood the importance of good (and good for YOU) running shoes, that’s the kind of difference they made.
Later I upgraded to the Wave Rider 16, of which I own 3 pairs.
There’s a lot of information online on how the shoe is built, materials, etc. But in simple terms, to me what rocks about these shoes is that they offer enough support (I don’t need too much), they are very cushioned (meaning comfortable to run in them for hours), and they are very light.
